COPYRIGHT ASSIGNMENT

This Copyright Assignment is made on [Date] by and between:

[Name], having a permanent residence at [Address], hereinafter referred as the Author;

AND

[Name], having a permanent residence at [Address], hereinafter referred as the Assignee.



WHEREAS:

The Author owns the copyright in the [Description of the Work] (“Work”) and wishes to assign ownership of the copyright in the Works to the Assignee.



The Assignee wishes to accept the assignment on the following covenants.



OPERATIVE COVENANTS:



Assignment: The Author assigns the copyright in the Works to the Assignee.





Indemnity: The Author indemnifies the Assignee against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages and costs that the Assignee incurs or may incur as a result of a breach by the Author of the Author's obligations and warranties contained in this Deed.



General Terms of Publication: The parties acknowledge that the Author retains all Patent and trade mark rights and rights to any process or procedure described in the Works.



The Assignee grants to the Author a perpetual, royalty free license:







Applicable Law: The laws of the Australian Capital Territory govern this Deed, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
